PM Modi, along with fitness icon Ankit Baiyanpuria, shared the video on social media, expressing their commitment to a clean and healthy India. Modi highlighted the importance of blending fitness and well-being with cleanliness, creating a “Swachh and Swasth Bharat” vibe.
Over 9.20 lakh sites nationwide participated in the mega cleanliness drive, as reported by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. The video of PM Modi and Baiyanpuria garnered attention, leaving many impressed with the unexpected partnership.
Who is Ankit Baiyanpuriya?
Ankit Baiyanpuriya gained social media fame through a 75-day fitness challenge aimed at promoting a culture of fitness among the youth. Starting on June 28, 2023, and concluding on September 11, 2023, he documented his journey through daily Instagram videos.
Inspired by American entrepreneur Andy Frisella, Ankit’s fitness journey began after a dislocated shoulder incident during his mud wrestling days in 2022. His workout routines, emphasizing physical and mental well-being, quickly gained attention. Ankit completed the challenging ’75-day hard challenge’ and gained over 2.5 million followers in just 28 days.
Life Challenges and Origin:
Ankit Baiyanpuriya hails from Bayanpur, a small town in the Sonipat district of Haryana. Raised by labourer parents, he faced financial challenges and worked various jobs, including labour work and being a Zomato delivery boy, to make ends meet. Coming from a village with a wrestling tradition, inspired by the movie ‘Dangal,’ Ankit embraced fitness after his wrestling career took a turn.
In an interview with IANS, he shared details about his education, completing higher education in his hometown and pursuing graduation in Sonipat. Ankit’s journey from a small town to a social media sensation reflects his determination and commitment to promoting fitness and well-being.
